Owner Jason Thomas has spent years collecting the tattoo flash from years gone by, curating the magic charm of his studio, and perfecting the skull/snake combo. He splits his time at the shop between tattooing American traditional designs and painting like his life depended on it.
Mike Richardson began his apprenticeship in 2006 under Jason Thomas. He started tattooing at the Ink Spot a year later in 2007, and has spent the last decade mastering the palm tattoo and the ever elusive ginger beard. His favorite tattoo style is illustrative and his favorite records are loud. Whether you’re looking for a black and grey sleeve, a little expert advice on slapping a bass, or a few pictures of the cutest cat around, Mike is your best bet. .
Mallory Kay Palmertree
Mallory Kay Palmertree started working as the counter girl at the Ink Spot in 2008 following her time as a full time Dr. Dog fan / pop art connoisseur in Clinton, Mississippi. She started tattooing in 2010, specializing in folk & traditional style and has barely had a break between tattoos since. Although she stays busy aspiring to be the premiere butt tattooer of the south, Mallory always manages to squeeze in a little time to work with Jackson’s local artists — from booths at Priced to Move to teaching art classes to kids at the Mississippi Children’s Museum.
